30 MINUTES. MAKES 12

Sweet, salty & chewy these very moorish cookies are the perfect balance between sweet and savoury. They can be easily whipped up just in time to satisfy those cookie cravings.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/4/250g cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup/113g plant based butter or coconut oil - used 1/4 nondairy butter & 1/4 coconut oil to keep costs down as plant based butter can be expensive
1/4 cup/60ml plant based milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups/185g plain flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
250g roughly chopped 70% or more dark chocolate black sesame seeds
maldon or flakey sea salt
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 350F or 180C
Beat the sugar, salt and butter in a bowl until smooth and sugar has partially broken down.
Stir in plant based milk with vanilla essence.
Sift in flour with the baking soda.
Gently fold in chocolate chunks.
Line baking tray with non stick
Using ice-cream scoop, scoop 6 portions of cookie dough onto the tray. Make sure there is enough room to expand.
Sprinkle each cookie with black sesame and sea salt
Bake for 12-15 minutes until slight gooey looking in the centre.
Remove from oven. Slid on to wire rack to cool and repeat with the remaining cookie dough.
